Roadmap
This whole 'members only' section exists for YOU. Everything has been developed to try and make your guild experience better. This page lists what features are in development.
Want to see a feature added? Let me know.
In Development
(all dates are subject to change, as I am one person and can only do my best)Launching: May 2026
Get ready for...
- Voting 2.0: Find all the current polls in one place, be able to see the results ‘live’ as people vote, and also be able to tell whether you have voted or not.
- Contests: Be able to submit, and edit entries etc. all from your user CP. Rejoice! No more messing with stupid google forms and all their annoyances. Everything will just work here, including all the voting and there will be countdown reminders and it should all appear on the event calendar as features from the previous few months come together.
- Bug fixes: Which unfortunately needs to include an extensive rework of how the backend functions for the main site. I was going to say that will take a lot of time away from the fun things :( but I'm committed to the deadline of the 15th anniversary now, so I have to get contests working before then. Good luck to me haha.
Launching: June/July 2026
More actual fun stuff like...
- Guild Recipe Collection: An expansion of the Crafter's Directory to hopefully make it actually be useful.
- Badges: The long awaited and several times delayed feature. Digital shiny pixels awarded for guild events. Did you take part in a contest? Have a badge. Attend a party like the Winter Veil event? Badge. Get curve with the guild? Badge. You know that sort of thing. Just meant to be a bit of fun.
- Bug fixes: I wish it weren't so but there's always some fire I got to put out.
Launching: August 2026
Why does everything take so long to do...
- Character Profiles: For the RP'ers among us, a thorough expansion of the character list. No more just see plain data like level, and professions. Instead have space to write your backstory and more (TBD exactly what I can manage but I have big ideas).
- Guild Gallery: Multi-layer sort of feature because people should be able to control their own user profiles, and also consent to what creations of theirs appear elsewhere. This is still a bit nebulous but I'd like to put a showcase on the members homepage (where at the moment there's just the grid of features). People could also have a personal one on their profile if they want to activate it, and it can pull from images they've uploaded to their character pages, their housing page (when I work on that) etc. etc.
- Bug fixes: I'm gonna have broken something. Honestly, I don't even know how it happens sometimes, it's made me rather involuntarily sympathetic to blizz's weird random bugs. Except they are professionals and more than one person...
Launching: TBD (future stuff)
A collection of other thoughts...
- Custom Titles: There's actually code in place for this but I haven't switched it on a) because I have a complete failure of imagination as to what kind of titles to offer, and b) because trying to make it work with the forum is really hard. But one day hopefully, choose from an (eventual) selection of custom titles, which will appear by your name where appropriate, including on the forum.
- House Tours: Oh I wish I could just click my fingers and make this, I want it so bad. Right now we have a working, but imperfect, guestbook system through the forum. I would love to add something more indepth, and also the ability to share floorplans, screenshots, write update 'blog' type posts if you choose. Upload video tours if you so choose. Everything is optional but I want to give you all the tools.
- Full Forum Integration: This might get pushed up because I'm getting increasingly unhappy with the forum theme. Not only does it not scale as well as I'd like on mobile, it's also somehow breaking features?? No clue how! Like seriously, how? But subscription emails just don't work with it, and that's the third bugged feature I've found (and first I haven't been able to fix). So my thinking is if I code a theme completely from scratch, not only can I make it so the forum appears within the main website (and fix the two user profile things, with the members site + the forum profile), that will work better on all levels, but ahhhh it's so hard. The forum is such a big thing to wrangle, soooo many files and templates and it's confusing.
