What are endeavours?
Think the travellers log for housing and you won't be far off in terms of the various activities required to take part. There are two elements:
- Predominantly personal benefit. Endeavours are the way you more easily earn housing XP, you get some for every task you complete. This xp is capped at 2,250 per endeavour. You also gain community tokens, which are used to purchase decor from the endeavour vendors. These are not capped but repeating the tasks does lead to diminishing returns, so it will get less lucrative to continue grinding eventually.
- A group 'fill the bar' type deal. Every activity that earns someone in the neighbourhood their personal reward ^^ also works to help 'rank up' the endeavour for the whole neighbourhood. There are four ranks, and at each one new endeavour specific quests or decor become available. Completing the endeavour gains a personal benefit of an additional 250 housing xp, and some community tokens.
Important point
The community tokens used to purchase decor aren't endeavour locked. So if you aren't really into the vibe of the active neighbourhood endeavour all is not lost! You can either:
- Stash all your tokens for the next endeavour which you might like better. Sort of how you don't have to spend your traders tender if you don't want to, if in a particular month nothing strikes your fancy.
- Visit another neighbourhood which has an active endeavour you prefer, and spend your tokens there.
Also don't get confused with the comparisons to the trading post. When the 'fill the bar' group part of the endeavour is maxed at four, you can still continue to earn community tokens and housing XP personally.
